About PDSA Pet Aid

Over 260 Veterinary Practices nationwide participate in the PDSA Pet Aid Scheme,

which assists pet owners who are in need of their help.

PDSA Pet Aid is FREE of charge for ONE nominated pet,

although clients are asked to make a donation to help towards the treatment of their pet.

PDSA does NOT cover the following, call out fees charged by the practice for out of hours call outs,

vaccination and neutering of healthy pets, supply of prescription pet food, laboratory tests not essential for diagnosis,

referrals to specialists, health checks, pregnancy diagnosis, house calls and post-mortem examinations

How Do I know if I am eligible?

To be eligible for PDSA help at our surgery, pet owners must be in receipt of the following:

  • Housing Benefit

or

  • Council Tax Benefit

You must also live at an address covered by the following postcodes:

TR 1 2 3 4 5 10 11 12 13 14 15 16

What do I do next?

If you are eligible or think you may be please contact us or drop into our surgery to collect an application form.

You must then complete the application form and return it to us at the surgery.

The form must be accompanied by:

  • A £3.00 Postal Order to help the PDSA cover administration costs

  • Photo Copies of documents proving that you are in receipt of Housing benefit or Council Tax benefit.

If your application is accepted by the PDSA you will then be sent a PDSA PET AID certificate that is valid for a fixed period only (which can only be used at our practice and only for the ONE nominated pet).
